One morning a few days ago, I was out on the steps attempting to remove the dried garden mud from my tennis shoes. (Happens a lot.) Lydia came out and joined me, gown, bed-head and all.
Our front yard is shady and cool, so snails like to hang out there. Lydia found a couple to watch, and named them Billy and Silly. She wanted to hold one - I believe this one is Silly.

Leave it to this one to find a friend first thing in the morning. :)

Cute! At least it had a shell--my youngest picked up a SLUG one day. Talk about gross! It took forever (and a lot of scrubbing) to get the slime off her hands.
(((SHUDDER)))
hee hee - yeah, I don't think I would have let her pick up one without a shell. :P
that last pic is adorable! i think that's one for framing. :)
Tell Lydia I need a good tomato worm picker. :) I heard she doesn't like them any better than I do. (But I bet she can find 'em better than I can.)
hee hee - you'll get no help from her, Sarah. She says "I'm ALLERGIC to hornworms." That means she really, really doesn't like them. She is good at finding them, though!
