I knit fairly loosely, used two strands of worsted together and 10.5 double point needles. It fits me just fine. For the changing the length, I figured the hat should be 8" from tip to brim (by measuring another hat I had). There are 15 decreasing rows in the pattern. 15 of my knit rows was about 3", so I did the 9 seed stitch rows and then enough knit to total 5" before doing the decreasing rows. I think next time I will increase the seed stitch rows another half inch or inch, but the hat turned out great! Husband says I need to make one for myself after I weave in all the ends on this one. Thanks! I will keep this on hand for when our church knitting group does hats.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06223832011196853755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1585371736859546780.post-53170163927589462562012-03-10T21:33:48.682-06:002012-03-10T21:33:48.682-06:00Wonderful! I am about to knit my last row and thought I would say thank you to you for helping me on my way!gin4407https://www.blogger.com/profile/13255866433439527764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1585371736859546780.post-22873533404099712712010-01-01T18:11:36.317-06:002010-01-01T18:11:36.317-06:00I love bamboo knitting needles, they feel so natur...I love bamboo knitting needles, they feel so natural!
